Hanif Boghani, MD, FACP, FRCPC

Nephrologist

Dr. Boghani is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He has been a practicing physician for the past 35 years. 

Dr. Boghani obtained his medical degree at Sindh Medical College. He then went on to his Internal Medicine residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University. He finished his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois. He then returned to McLaren Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University and worked as the Chief Resident. He went on to become faculty at the same residency program. While faculty at McLaren, Dr. Boghani also became an assistant professor at Michigan State University. Dr. Boghani then practiced at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon, Michigan. He then completed his fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Toronto. Finally, he moved to Atlanta in 2007 and opened his current practice, Atlanta Kidney Care.

Dr. Boghani's areas of special interest are chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, and lupus kidney disease. He was recently nominated as a top doctor in Atlanta Magazine for the fourth year in a row. His hospital affiliation is Emory-Decatur.
